On the surface growth seems like it could only be a good thing. You think that you’ve done everything right.
But therein lies the danger. And we were aware of that. We both come from the corporate customer sector and have often had the opportunity to observe this: those who are growing quickly need new structures and employees who still feel at home and identify with the company. They should do what they can do, because they want to. That doesn't happen by itself.
We knew: this was a job for a professional.
We got in touch with several coaches, but were quickly disillusioned because we noticed straight away almost all of them had a one size fits all system that they would just throw on everyone. One even began explaining what he was going to do before even asking a question, let alone having seen us. Jörg Tenwinkel on the other hand, listens first. Then he goes, and when he comes back, he has developed a concept that was specifically tailored for this task at our company. We swiftly decided to work together. And just as swiftly, Jörg Tenwinkel stepped in to help.
What we found most remarkable: He was not above sharing his concept across all hierarchical levels. Before he started, he presented his plan to the supervisory board, the board of directors, the department head level and everyone with whom he would work.
For us, it was initially about organizational structures, about adapting to growth and the getting the employees to identify with their areas of responsibility and positions. Not only did he do it, he did it in a way that leaves room for growth.
That's why we plan to continue having Jörg Tenwinkel handle our professional coaching in the future.
